There have been so many stigmas and myth attached to this third gender , its hard to shrug aside.
Law has indeed played a crucial part in enforcing the rights to these discriminated group , afraid to come in terms with themselves.
Its funny to expect that all the beliefs which have propagated for ages will be hogwash in one go.
More than the judiciary we need to make a change.
Have you ever come across any person who have even been human to them ? Well sadly I haven't . We see them on the streets begging for money . We see them near roads asking for a morsel of food.
Why we treat them like they are some black sheep ? Aren't they humans ? Do they not belong to the society? Why are we so indifferent ?
The struggles our transgender community face everyday for the smallest things in life is unparalleled. Why should someone be ashamed of their identity .
Its not that they wish to but we compel them to.
Its high time we open our eyes to see the beauty and marvel that exists beyond the discrimination of gender and cultural biasness.
I somehow feel our ancestors were far more modernized in their view and opinions .
In ancient times the queens were accompanied by these extraordinary people when kings were out in fighting battles.
Does it make sense to refrain their acceptance in society now? Are we moving forward or going backwards ?
Its not the law and order which can change the society , its the understanding and accepting these people as a part of us. To provide them woth equal opportunities and chance to grow as an individual . To contribute towards the betterment of society and organization.
Once you give them wings you have no idea how high they can fly .
Lets break the norm and open the transgenders openly , not just legally but truly and fully.
To live under one roof as one .
God blessed them with no gender but as equal
Why are we so indifferent and habitual
With treating them less than humans
When they can grow into great persons
Not just the laws to legalize
But see them as a gifted child
Who are just like us
The miracle of universe
If we don't change will things ever change
Can law help if they suffer the humiliation and pain?
In the hands of bully who pass their comments
Or people who stare at them full of judgements
The public at the streets
Thinking them misfits
Let us wake up to a better reality
Where the transgenders can stay free
For them a greater future to see
For us better persons to be.
